hi, hello!

apologies for the lack of a more formal introduction and welcome--i just got way too excited about this new journey.

but, hi, hello!
my name is justine, and baking has always intrigued me. tickled me in all the right places, so you could say. i'm by no means a pro baker, but it truly is one of my favorite hobbies (which falls right after eating my creations, of course).

i recently graduated with my masters in speech and language pathology in portland, or., and i'm now in my 'residency' year back in the bay area of sunny california. not going to lie, i've become to grow fond of the pnw, but until i'm called back there, i'm loving what i do here! and learning to love my life and where i am in this walk, as well.

and oh, how i love all things dark chocolate. i find peonies to be one of the prettiest flowers that God created. curling up with a good book and a thick blanket is a dream. i have no doubt that black coffee is liquid gold. i feel smallest when i'm next to the sea and when i'm surrounded by trees in the woods, and there's nothing quite like it to remind me of the One who oversees. and baking/blogging is one of my favorite ways to unwind and enjoy the simple things in life.

so basically, i like to bake! mm, make that casual baking; whenever i have time, or energy, or money, to do so. but i try to make time for it, because i truly enjoy every second of it.
