honey + choc chip cookie

everyone loves a good chocolate chip cookie.
i found this recipe and i love how it uses honey (i'm a sucker for honey, esp them honey sticks)! just brilliant. loooove love love it. i'm so excited to share this that i'm just gonna keep this short and simple; the recipe is as follows:

ingredients:

8 tbsp butter
1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1 large egg
3 tbsp honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour (i tried this recipe using whole wheat flour and just simply adding more all-purpose -- they both work beautifully)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
6 oz chocolate

instructions:

  1. preheat oven to 350F.
  2. in a large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. beat in egg, honey, and vanilla extract.
  4. stir in flour(s), baking powder and soda, and salt.
  5. fold in chocolate chunks!
  6. refrigerate for 15-20 mins, mainly waiting for the dough to be chilled. (make sure to do this step! it keeps the cookies keep its shape!)
  7. bake for 8-10 minutes, until lightly browned.
  8. you know the drill -- cool and enjoy!
