honey + choc chip cookie
everyone loves a good chocolate chip cookie.
i found this recipe and i love how it uses honey (i'm a sucker for honey, esp them honey sticks)! just brilliant. loooove love love it. i'm so excited to share this that i'm just gonna keep this short and simple; the recipe is as follows:
ingredients:
8 tbsp butter
1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1 large egg
3 tbsp honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour (i tried this recipe using whole wheat flour and just simply adding more all-purpose -- they both work beautifully)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
6 oz chocolate
instructions:

instructions:
- preheat oven to 350F.
- in a large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- beat in egg, honey, and vanilla extract.
- stir in flour(s), baking powder and soda, and salt.
- fold in chocolate chunks!
- refrigerate for 15-20 mins, mainly waiting for the dough to be chilled. (make sure to do this step! it keeps the cookies keep its shape!)
- bake for 8-10 minutes, until lightly browned.
- you know the drill -- cool and enjoy!
