10 minute stovetop granola
this one is so fun and quick to make! you can easily customize this to your preference: you can make this recipe gluten free if you have gluten free oats on hand, add/take away seeds/nuts of your choice, and adding dried fruit (raisins and dried cranberries also work well). i can easily make this in multiple batches and snack on this for breakfast, midday snack, and dessert, with fruit, milk, yogurt, and cacao nibs.
just made some this morning, and i prefer to eat this with a splash of milk to get the most of the maple syrup and cinnamon-y flavors. i find cereal milk to be wayyy to sweet, but this granola milk is fiya 🔥
ingredients:
1 cup oats
1/4 cup pepita seeds
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/3 cup coconut flakes
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 tsp cinnamon
3 tbsp maple syrup
instructions:
- toast oats on a non-stick skillet on medium heat until warm to the touch and slightly fragrant.
- add toppings (seeds, coconut, walnuts) and cinnamon, toast for ~3 minutes, still on medium.
- on low heat, add maple syrup and mix continuously until the mixture becomes dry (low heat is important so that the syrup doesn't burn).
- remove from heat, and let it cool before storing it in an airtight container.
- add toppings/liquids and enjoy!
this combination + a splash of milk is my favorite! |
