mini chocolate marbled bread


 

having a thing for single serving sized baked goods lately, and this one is almost too cute to eat. 🙆 just had a few more slices, and personally, i think it tastes best toasted with a little bit of cinnamon butter. mmm. carbs. mmmmmm...

ingredients

1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp oil
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla

for the cocoa swirl
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1.5 tbsp milk

instructions

  1. preheat oven to 350F
  2. mix dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and sugar
  3. in a separate bowl, combine wet ingredients: oil, milk, and vanilla
  4. combine the wet and dry mixtures
  5. in a small bowl, combine the ingredients for the cocoa swirl
  6. add half of the original batter with the cocoa mixture, combine thoroughly.
  7. pour the unmixed batter in your mini loaf pan. add dollops of the cocoa batter on top.
  8. fold over the two batters 2-3 times to produce a marbling effect.
  9. bake for 20-25 minutes, checking by using the toothpick method.
  10. cool, slice, toast, and enjoy!
