mini chocolate marbled bread
having a thing for single serving sized baked goods lately, and this one is almost too cute to eat. 🙆 just had a few more slices, and personally, i think it tastes best toasted with a little bit of cinnamon butter. mmm. carbs. mmmmmm...
ingredients
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp oil
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
for the cocoa swirl
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1.5 tbsp milk
instructions
- preheat oven to 350F
- mix dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and sugar
- in a separate bowl, combine wet ingredients: oil, milk, and vanilla
- combine the wet and dry mixtures
- in a small bowl, combine the ingredients for the cocoa swirl
- add half of the original batter with the cocoa mixture, combine thoroughly.
- pour the unmixed batter in your mini loaf pan. add dollops of the cocoa batter on top.
- fold over the two batters 2-3 times to produce a marbling effect.
- bake for 20-25 minutes, checking by using the toothpick method.
- cool, slice, toast, and enjoy!
